rincon exhaust - take out cone for more power?

A friend of mine took out the spark-arrestor cone. Sounds real loud and claims to go faster! I tried it and it ran like crap, any one else have similar experience?

removing the spark arrestor will do nothing but add noise

Yes, giving the exhaust more flow will give you more top end if it is well re-jetted, but you might loose a little bottom-end torque.

Sure it will help. What's your altitude? If your above 3000 feet your likely rich anyway. Do a plug chop and see how the color looks......
