FYI for anyone considering using .160 rims up front. I was changing my rims out last weekend and was suprised to see my front .160's with Sandstars are both bent. When you give them a good spin they are kind of egg shaped and wobble quite a bit. I have had three trips to the dunes on these rims and I have NOT hit any big jumps. I am also running .160s in the rear with my Haulers but they are straight as can be. So the only thing I can figure bent the fronts was pulling wheelies and coming back down hard on the front. I guess the heavy front end of the DS coming down from a wheelie is all it takes.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

 

That's weird! So you're saying that if I get some new sand stars for the front, I should get 190 rims just to ride at Glamis?

 

Thats a major bummer to hear Bryce. I will have to check the rims on our 02 baja as it has sand stars on douglas .160's too.
