Default Lower Ball Joints...

How do i get these out of the arms?

The have the bolt sticking up, then the rubber boot, then the arm, the back side doesnt have a locking ring or anything, i guess its behind the boot, Is this right? How do I get the boot pulled up without tearing it?

I am trying to get these things powdercoated and this is holding me up.....

Thanks guys.

There is a ball joint removal tool, it's basically a fork looking thing that is pointed on the end and then gradually tapers. The idea is to wedge the tool between the spindle and the ball joint and it will slowly separate. I've always just grabbed the top a-arm and with a hammer start tapping on the spindle until the a-arm separates from the ball joint. Click Here for a good pic of someone using the fork tool. Scroll down to about the 7th picture and you'll see them using the ball joint removal tool. Like I said, I just tap on the metal on the spindle right above where they show the tool being inserted while holding the top a-arm and it will fall right out.
