TrailBlazer 400 or Scrambler 500
#1
I have a couple of Polaris Utility Quads, but now I want a Sport ATV. A dealer in this area has a new '03 TB 400 for $4000. While the 4WD on the Scrambler would be nice, I don't really need it for most of the trail riding I do. I have a few questions about the TB in comparision to a new '04 Scrammy.
How do they compare in ride and performance?
How do they compare in durability and maintenance?
Is $4K a good deal on this?
Anything else I should know?
Thanks.

Well both stock they perform about the same, but the 400 may have a little more performance and both ride about the same. There real durable and maintenance is pretty simple. If your planning on putting mods on either of these i suggest getting the tb400,because its 2 stroke and works better to mods.

If the dealer's still sittin' on an '03, I think you should be able to talk him down. They weren't much more than $4k in '03. Tell him it's obvious that no one wants 2-strokes anymore and he'll never sell it
BTW, if you don't care about 4x4, definately get the TB!

I would buy the trailblazer 400 for more sport riding. It can also be modded for a heck of alot more horsepower then the scrambler 500 can be. Just take a look at these sights and you'll see what i mean.
tblazer 400 performance
Scrambler 500 performance
tblazer 400 performance
Scrambler 500 performance

Ya, and going back to what 95sport said. You should be able to get them a heck of alot cheaper then that. My friend just sold his 02 trailblazer for $2200 and he is getting a brand new left-over 03 tblazer 400 from a dealer and hes also having a polaris employee get it for him so he only has to pay $700 for it with all that said. $700

They are both about the same in the ride department wher ethe choice is is the 500 is more torque than topend. If you do tight trails the 500 is your bet.Now if you want RPMs and topend go with the 400.
