A banshee is fast, especially at the dunes. From what is in your post I would say that a banshee is not the quad from you. It can be said they are a pain to maintain or a piece of cake. They do need a TLC, from time to time. To go from a 300ex to a Banshee is a huge step, I have done it.

I sold my Banshee and now have a 400ex and a 450r. I would rather ride either of these then my old Banshee.

I'd go for a Banshee, actually it is what I want to do. Sell my Raptor and buy a Shee.

You're clearly not speaking from experience, as long as you maintain a 2-stroke it'll last long too. The only thing I think a 400ex is better then a Banshee for, would be the front shocks, other then that 400exs are just a mellow beginner quad.

The Banshee doesn't have reverse, and neither does the 400ex, except the 05 models that just came out.

banshees cost money to buy and you never stop putting money into them you will only win with a banshee if you are dragging up a sand hill you lose on every other part of it

Get the shee you wont be disappointed with it on the dunes esp over your 300ex. No the shee does not have reverse but how ofter do you use reverse on the dunes just spin that b!tch around and go! As far as maintenance I have had to do the same amount to my banshee as I have had to do to any of my 4 strokes other than mixing gas for the shee it has been the same. Hope this helps in your decision. I have yet to regret getting mine shee for silver lake and I trail ride the hell out of mine too.
