Another broken Grizzly axle!
#1
Just took my sprayer off my Grizzly this morning so I decided to take it for a drive behind the house. Drove through a couple of ditches and got it high centered. So I put it in 4 wheel diff lock and rocked it a bit. I took about 4-5 seconds and snap, there goes another one. This is the fourth one I have broke. This thing is all factory, except for the tires...but they are still 25's. I'm really starting to think these Grizzly's are JUNK! Has anyone else had the kind of luck I've had. I don't even ride this thing hard. The last axle I had broke was the back one just by turning in the sand! I can see a Polaris 800 in my drive in the near future?

Four axles now? At what point does it become your fault for not buying aftermarket axles?
I think it was the 03 models that had the problems with bad axles. Go buy gorilla axles and take it easy on your machine.

Well.....actually I broke 3 on mine and 1 on my moms. Yeah my mom has a 660! Mine does have 27's, and Yamaha DID warrantee my two front axles that broke at 7 months from the day of purchase. The back that broke was just uncalled for. As for buying Gorilla axle's, It just isn't worth it to me. At $365 a pop, I don't see paying $1,480 over the top of the MSRP to make it reliable. I could buy 14 heavy duty rebuild kits for that. And the difference between a better wheeler. And remember, I don't do hard core riding. I think the Diff lock on the Grizz is a bit too good. At least the locker on the Prairie and the on demand with Polaris slips a little bit. With no slippage at all, your just asking for trouble.
