Locking axle nut on Raptor
#1
I have a new RPM Dominator axle and RAD-LOC axle nut on order for my 2001 Raptor.
What are the torque specs for tightening this type of axle nut and its locking screw(s)? Any locktite involved?

Yes use locktite on the threads ...
1. tighten the inner nut to 40lbs against the sprocket
2. while holding the inner nut tighten the outter nut against the inner nut to 140lbs
3. while holding the outter nut, loosen the inner nut, thereby tightening it against the outter nut to 170lbs.
Good luck!

NLWarrior01,
That's the procedure for the stock dual nut system. I'm asking about the procedure for an after market locking axle nut (one nut) with a locking screw that's tightened to lock the nut in place.

Ohhhhhhhh, sorry about that.
I'm not familiar with that particular type of nut, however, I would say that you would torque the nut against the sprocket hub to 40lbs the same as stock, and then set the locking screws in the nut. If you over tighten the nut against the sprocket hub you could overstress the bearings in the carrier.
