Default Post your dealer experiences

The dealer threads I see in here gave me the idea to consolidate this kind of info into one thread.

So post your dealer experiences here, whether they be good or bad. That way people looking to buy a new or used atv or power vehicle can get a little background on the good and bad dealers in thier area.

Please include the name of the dealer and the location.

I have purchased a few atv's from Steven's yamaha of Bay City, Michigan. They carry yamaha, kawasaki, and suzuki. Prices have always been very competitive and the service department is headed by an old race buddy.

Steven's has a honda extension in Midland that carries honda, suzuki, and polaris. The people there arent exactly model salesmen but still decent and will try to work with you.

Mt Pleasant Foreign motors in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan gets a high grade in my book. They allow you to test drive the quads and bikes and dont pressure you into the sale. I was trying to decide whether I wanted a vinson or not and got to ride one. Great machine. Then they said they had a twin peaks I could ride and I got to compare them side by side. Unfortunately the only carry suzuki.

I live in Maryland and worked with Twiggs(Hagarstown, MD), Ray-wilt (PA), Criswell Powersports(Germantown, MD), and Loudoun Motorsports (Leesburg, VA).

Twiggs - Salesman offered good information on all types and makes of Quads/bikes and was willing to work with me in getting the wolverine; however, wouldn't come down in price.

Ray-Wilt - Salesman stated he would look into getting a wolverine for me and never called me.

Criswell - Didn't have a wolverine and the salesman mentioned that Yamaha wasn't offering the wolverine in 2005. I didn't even give them another moment of my time.

Loudoun - The winner! Had a wolverine on the floor, salesman was very nice, full of information about all bikes/quads, manager worked with me on the price and came down on the warranty as well, plus you get 10% off on any purchase/work from there once you purchase the bike. The on ly bad thing was that the low pressure guage, & etc was missing from under the seat.

I definely recommend Shanadoah Honda if you are in the Northern VA area and looking for Hondas... All of my cousins buy from there... When I called for a price they price below anyones price! Even trailers...

That's my $.02

Redding Yamaha, Redding California, is were we bought our YFZ 450. No problems...they wouldn't budge on the price but thats because the YFZ just came out. Real Friendly there, slow on repairs but other than that it is a B+/A- dealer
