I was just wondering if i used a hacksaw to shave my fenders and then get some sandpaper and sand the edges if it would look good? Also does anyone have any tips to make it easier? I dont wanna shave to much off but enough to get rid of the holes where the mudflaps bolted to because i removed mine. I plan on doing this tomorrow so any help is needed. Thanks

 

Use some tape to make an outline to shave at so that you are relatively straight and not trying to straighten it out afterwards. I have also heard that a heat gun or lighter afterwards will help round the edges out to make them look almost factory edges when you are done.

I used a dremel to cut mine. Worked very well. Just make sure you have an extra battery charged before you start. Nothings worse than running out of juice half way through.

you can use a roterzip ... and then just take some sand paper and shape it .. but it gets a little wild sometimes useing it . but a jig saw would be fine. Austin

Yea the problem is the dremel i had broke so i need a new one. But i guess ill just try the jigsaw and maybe only take a little off at a time in case it gets messed up.

 

If you have a jigsaw then I would use what I had instead of buying a dremel or rotozip. JMO. Definately use a jigsaw instead of a hacksaw. Hope it comes out ok.

 

the dremel takes to long..just use a jigsaw took me all of 5 minutes to cut the outline i made
