Anyone know a cross reference for the Polaris oil filter?
Also, has anyone used Mobil synthetic 0w40 in their machines?

 

I've seen cross references on here before, can't remember where. You may want to do a search on it. I use Mobil 1 Syn 0W40 in my Boss and Magnum and have not had any problems.

 

Fram makes one, thats what I use to buy. Its black and made in USA unlike the made in China Polaris filter. Mobil 1 0w-40 should be fine for the crank oil, I have a few freinds that use it.

 

Of all the oil filters out there, Fram is the one I would stay away from. Do a internet search for oil filter comparisons and they (all the ones I've seen) put Fram at the bottom. Purolator was one of the better aftermarket brands. If you have a Fram number, you should be alble to cross that over. Not wanting to start an argument of who is the better filter, just wanting to point out which one is showing up as the worst.

Napa Gold #1358 (same as Wix @ $8) Mobil 1 and Amsoil both work great.
