Powder coat yellow that would be my choice. I would do mine if I had a clue how much it would cost me.

I'm told there's a place here that will powdercoat a frame for about $70.

Silver vein Podwercoat Its a black with veins of silver it cost more than a solid color. Also you want to do something differet than red or black. they also make a chrome color it is only 60% glossy but it looks good. Some guys are doing old hot rod bumpers with this color. There are also numerour 2 tome colors you can choose from

I would also go with powder coating over painting it is much better. Should be able to get it done for under $300 easily.
I would go with a really bright true Blue color.
with chrome a arms and black shock wears.
and what about the swing arm. Stock? go with the same blue. Aftermarket then get a chrome one.
now that would be a sharp looking Machine.
The blue and red together really stand out and complment each other. My 99 ex is blue and red and i get complements from alot of people. Just my opinion. Everyone likes something different.

Wow, that sounds pretty dang cheap to me.. I think the local place here said about $120 to do the frame. Of course, they probably do less business overall than the place your speaking of.

If I were going to powdercoat my frame, I think I'd do it a chrome type color if at all possible. If not, I think I'd go with the good 'ol metallic silver. Red would be my third choice, then yellow, then black.

You can also get things clear powder coated. If you are into polished aluminum, powder coat it clear and it will not get dull.

MX4LIFE, you DO NOT want to powdercoat your swing arm nor would you want to chrome it. The stock swing arm is a solid piece of aluminum so you would want to have it polished or do it yourself if you know how. A polished swing arm is definitely an eye catcher. Chroming looks good but it does weaken steel so if you do any racing or hard riding you DO NOT want to chrome you’re A-arms. The chrome powdercoat color would work good here and looks very close to chrome. If you use the chrome color on you’re A-arms and frame plus polish you’re swing arm you will need some dark sunglasses to look at that thing in the sun.
