I would get in touch with warn customer service and let them know you need a new cable, maybe they'll send you out one for free. as far as the hand warmers go I'd go through your polaris dealer to get pure polaris hand warmers.

Get the rope type cable, can't remember what it's called but you can fin it at Rock Stomper. Just switched mine and I doubt I will ever have a metal cable again. As far as hanwarmer I have only used Hot Grips brand, they seem to be fine but can't compare them to the others.

You can get cable from ebay really cheap. I would go with what Vaquero said. Get the synthetic winch rope. It is called Amsteel Blue. It is more than twice the strength of cable, lighter than cable and half the size of cable which means twice the length on the spool. It is the new big thing to have. Idoes not kink or frey like cable. You can also find this on ebay. It is about 40-50 bucks for 50ft. As for the warmers go with Polaris.

After i first used my superwinch to move a sunken tree, i really tore up the cable and called them, they said its not warrantee and that i should be more careful, but sent one out for free. I dont know about warn though, ive never dealt with them.

not trying to steal the thread but : the cable i have on (the original still) has a big hook with a pin u can pull out to take it off. the replacement is the right size cable, but it has the smaller hook that superwinch puts on their lighter winches. only problem is that it has no way to get it off (all cast) and the cable is already spliced to it. when i eventually change the cable (im gonna wait for it to get a little worse, it just has minor misshaping, no cut strands) should i cut the small hook off and use my big one, or leave the small one on? are the hooks hardened, and impossible to hacksaw or nip? thanks guys
