I had the roller on my HPD chain tensioner disapper from the tensioner it was there when we were at the truck but after the next ride the roller was gone.Has anyone had this happen and if so did HPD make it good or did you have to buy a complete assymbly.

My Aaen tensioner did that a couple of monthes ago. It had over a year on it. I just put a chain roller on from a local shop. It's a little smaller, but it was only $13. Here is a link MotoSportOutlet. If you talk to them ask them for the large roller if you go this route.

Yep, I had that happen to me multiple times. The bearing's just can't take it. It's a joke and a waste of money if you ask me. My fix is to take a piece of angle iron and drill two holes in it and replace the plastic chain guard with the angle iron chain guard that you made. All problems fixed. Just keep your eye on your chain tension.

I found my problem and fixed it.Never messed another one up since.
I dont know about anyone else but I am tired of your flaming HPD and other decent parts suplyers. Not to say your dissing of Polaris in general.Just because you have had bad dealings with them dont mean everyone has.I have found that if you call them and act cival to them the WILLL help you.

I still have the original HPD chain tensioner on my 95 Scrambler installed in 95. I made a tool to lube the roller bearings by cross drilling a bolt and installing a grease zerk in the end....
