Default brake pads-sintered or ceramic?

I'm just curious which would give the best performance and longer life on every day trail riding, with the mud, sand, and everything else atv's get into. What's the difference between the 2? Thanks!!

The carbon will give you a bit more stopping power, but the sintered or severe duty will last longer and take all the punishment you can dish out to them in the sand, mud, ect. I would go with the sintered for the trails, I tore up the carbon pads in no time to the point where half the pad just crumbled off.
