Hey i was at my local Honda/polaris dealer today and they had a polaris sport 400 in there with front suspension just like the 250r that was sitting right next to it. i was wondering if anyone had some info on how to get that kind of set up, if it's just a 250r front frame or something. but i was really interested in it. please let me know with any info that u might have. thanx

 

troyer on this forum fabricated a 250r onto his scrambler..hpd also makes a race frame for the sport/scrambler thats pretty much the same as a 250r

 

Where was the dealer that had one?

Mine is getting powdercoated now, hopefully have most of it together this weekend.

 

Hey Troyer did you get to drive it before you took it apart again. If so how was it? I bet it handled so much better than the single a arm. What do you plan to do with the 400R scrammy? It looks real cool. I bet Polaris would have sold tons more if they did that in the first place.

 

No, I didnt have it running before I pulled it apart, i didnt want to bolt the head and everything down then have to pull it right back apart. I had everything snug, this piston wasn't even in actually. They called me today and told me it was done with the powdercoating, I was planning to go get it today, but, one of my guys had a run in with the State DOT officers.... That took up my afternoon. I will get it tomorrow morning though. I can't wait.

 

Umm it was at Gars honda located in grand rapids michigan, they were asking $3995 for it but about 1-2 yr's ago they were asking $7000 so the price droped quit a bit. It looked just like one of HPD race quds.

 

I just found this online. It says 5695. But it may be going for 3000? Thats is damn cheap for that ride! I can't believe this has been around long even at 5695. Someone needs to buy this thing!!

It is. HPD modifies a 250R aftermarket frame to accept the polaris motor and tranny. HPD sells them for an unreal amount of money.
