Default best/cheapest/noticeable upgrade for a raptor660

I just removed the baffle from the tail pipe and installed a K&N air filter. The air filter fits just like the stock one. I didn't remove the lid due to all of the wet mud riding i do. Low end it really pulls hard, top end it's the same. But for having fun with wheelies and stuff it's really noticeable. Im not going to have to rejet according to the stealership. The mechanic I spoke with stated that just released some hidden choked up power.

04 raptor,,,,,,a few mods

seat time will make your Raptor perform better. Get a decent rear skid too before you bend your rear disc.

I tried the same thing, removing the baffle and that just seemed to make things worse without jetting.

Pipe and jet will give you the most noticeable bolt on power gain.

I wish someone would have told me that when i first got my raptor, I've head to purchase new brakes, and rotar because of the flimsy plastic skid.

There will be more leverage on the threads on the hub. For MX or jumps i dont think it will hold up as well. Total how much length are you gaining? Personaly for the fronts i dont think its worth it. On my rear axle i put banshee rims with the valve stems pointed in and they make it about 2.5 inches wider then stock. Not bad for the offest of the rim.. huh!!!
