Eton Viper 90, won't start, no juice???
#1
Have about 2 hrs of running time on her, and he did act up since bought new. What is going on is it would "sometimes" not start, meaning nothing. Then for no apparent reason, it would crank right up. Today after riding for a couple hours, it acted up again, go to use electric start and nothing. Moved the bike a little, and then it started right up. Now i just got it home, and went to have the kid pull it in the garage, and nothing again. The only juice it has is the horn, and the oil light does go on when the key is turned on ( I think that is because they are probably a straight hookup to the battery). I also notice no brake lights when this happens. Going to take it in Monday I guess. Problem is i have not sent the warranty card in yet, and that may put a hold on warranty work done on it. Thanks, jeff

Found the problem. It was a green wire that runs along the left side of the gas tank, that had an inline wire connector on it, that came unplug. It must not have been properly plugged together from the factory because when I did plug it together, it became VERY secure. Thanks, Jeff

Wire / plug disconnected??? Glad you found the problem and got your "young rider" back on the seat.
I had the same problem on my AC 500i unit. Found a plug going down its steering column that was disconnected. For the last 2.2 years, that's the only problem I had on my AC unit. For us, I applied plastic glue on its plastic connector joint area before pushing the plug back together. If your plastic plug comes unplugged again, plastic glue may work for you too....
Talking about connectors & electrical, it's also an excellent idea to apply dielectric tuneup grease to every connector you see. This stuff makes better current flow across the connectors / plugs. Hence, less ups/downs in your minis electrical system.
Hope this helps as well...

Instead of plastic glue I would put a tie strap around the connectors.Put it in between some of the wires on either side of the connectors so it cannot fall off and pull it tight. This is how my snowmobiles harness is held together. If you glue it you will never get it apart if you ever need to unplug the harness for some reason.
