Help New Yamoto 110 wont Start
#1
Hello,
I have been hanging out here for about a couple months now reading all of the info concerning the Yamato atv’s I have since purchased two of these a 110 and a 150 from a dealer on the internet I have developed a problem with the 110 it will not start I have removed the spark plug and checked for fire and it seems to be firing ok it will start and idle for a few seconds however that’s all I have cranked it with the chock on and then removed the spark plug and it appears to be dry I have removed the hose to the air box and held my hand over the carb port while cranking and when I remove my hand from the carb gas runs out so I know it’s getting gas to the carb however I’m not sure if its getting to the spark plug any one have any ideals.
Also does anyone know where I can purchase spark plugs for these atv’s the 110 part number on the plug it’s self is LG A7RTC I took it to advance auto and they could not cross reference any help with any of these issues would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Steve

I Use a NGK C7HSA in my wifes yamoto 150. The problems you are having with the 110 are probubly carb related. You should remove and clean carb with carb cleaner and compressed air. Are you using a fuel filter? I had the same problems with our 150 and both times cleaning the carb helped. I now run a fuel filter.

Range Rover,
thanks for all of your help, the sparkplug has a good blue spark when I have it grounded against the engine and crank it, if i remove the air box snorkle hold my hand over the front of the carb choak with my hand i get a hand full of gas however the spark plug appears to be dry, the kill switch is in the run position btw, do you know where I can purchase parts for this thing the dealer I purchased this thing from US-sale stated they were a authorized dist. however they will not respond to any of the emails that I have sent them.
Thanks
Steve

Sometimes blowing air thru the jets isnt enough. Sometimes the deposits are very stuck to the walls of the inside diameter..Check to make sure the air bleed in the intake, (air filter side) isnt plugged. its a very small hole that runs parallell, to the air flow. Then check the pilot jet...you should be able to see light , looking thru it like looking down a straw. Use something like a single strand of #22 gauge standed wire to push out any obstuctions or blockage. If you use copper wire, you wont scratch anything.
If you hold the throttle steady @ 1/4 open, while cranking, will it start then? If it does...then the idle circuit is plugged, or the idle speed is too low.
You might want to add an inline fuel filter, and leave the float bowl dry when youre done riding, this goes a long way towards stopping future problems.
