stockers, 40/34, and everything in between!
tell what you have, why you got them, how you like them, or what you wish you would've done!

LOL its a lot easier to push air through those little holes than it is to pull it!

I put in 40/34 this summer. I also got a different head with Mr.HP cams and better porting. I only have one ride on it since I got the leaking head gasket fixed but It felt good. I will have to let you know hopefully next week how she runs agaist some bikes. I still have to get to the dyno.

40/34 like them alot. and just cleaned and smoothed the intake and exh on head. gave me about 4-5 bike lengths. so did the 48!

40/34 and yep likes um just fine. Woods did the head porting at the same time so yes there was a nice improvement. I still run the baby cams though(web 110) it revs real quick. Not as much on top as someone with bigger cams. But Im hoping to change that soon.

I ride 50% woods trails, 50% dunes. GNCC trails half the time, and dune ride Uath, Idaho, Oklahoma, Michigan the other half.
I want that peek for the dunes of course, as I already have WAAYYYY more power than ever gets taped at home in Indiana.
I don't wanna drop low end to the point of chugging on my hillclimbs, a little low end drop is okay I can tweek gearing to compensate to a certain extent.
But I've learned that there is nothing better in life than cruising bowls with killer power, I'm doing this for fulltime all around power and not just hillshoots, I am addicted to dune riding 100%.

Does it sound like I need the 40/34? I will stay 11.5:1 for pump premium, its too convenient and practical. And I absolutely love my little 'ol 45mm flatslide. Is 40/34 overkill for this combination, Duneme I see you went 39/34 - can I ask what made you decide that?
I pull the face of sand mt. reving 7K in 3rd with the front end floating, will I get another gear outa these valves or just increase a tooth on the front and pull the same rev?

i think when you get the valves it compleats the stage 2. its like the stage 2 is missing something like (the bigger valves) i did not loose much low end at all. but gained a lot of top. i probably gained at least 500rpm with the 48. but i only rode it once with new carb.
