winter riding on a 400ex
#1
I am storing my 400ex this year but next year I’d like to ride it through the winter. How are maxis razors in the snow if not good what would me the best all tire that looks like a razor and is good for all seasons. What do u guys do to get your quads ready for winter, and what to u do before and after every ride? (Warm up how long, do u get the snow off if so how. Are 400ex's ok in snow or should I just park it?

Me and my bro have razrs on our 250 and 400 ex, they do awsome on the snow. While riding on the snow you need to use a higher gear because lower gears allow you to spin easier. Riding in the snow rocks, but you have to watch for ditches and be sure you have enough room to stop at stop signs. Digging one out of the ditch isnt fun, we own a john deere gator and it makes it easier but it is still a pain in the ***. have fun in the snow

Park it? Are you kidding me? Your 400ex is a blast in the snow. It is a completely different experience. It is just another great way to enjoy your ATV! If you haven't ridden your 400 in the snow your are missing out dude. Forget parking it this year and introduce it to powder!

Winter riding is great fun...A thumb warmer and heated grips ..can make a big difference in how much fun you have out there on the really cold days. When the snow gets too deep ...look for packed down trails or logging roads to play on.

you may need to jet up like two main sizes in the cold weather. in the snow i think ohstu pro wedges would be a wise choice...just watch the rocks, these tires are thin. an extra 5min of warm up time should be just fine.
the pro wedges are good for this kind of traction on ice with no studs!!
me iceracing on a half mile stock car track flooded for winter
these tires are the tire of choice for winter play/racing by us.
