I was wondering what are some modifications I could do to my 85 200x ? It doesn't matter if it's an internal mod or not, any ideas will help?

 

Powroll racing is the place for the 200X. They have strker kits, hi comp. pistons, cams, ect. You can also port the head, and get a pipe. Mine can beat a 350X and its ported, piped, has a cam, and a couple other little things.

If your going with poweroll you better bring your check book. A cheaper rout would be a bigger carb, K&N air filter, 10.5:1 wisco piston, aftermarket exhaust and a Megcycle cam.

 

Or better yet, get a 350X or 250R.

I love my 200X, but I know that it has limitations regarding modifications.

Like it was mentioned, mods cost money. For less than the price of a highly modified 200X, you could pick up a decent 350X or 250R.

 

I agree with Glenn, My 350x goes about 70mph a 250r now thats crazy fast!!

 

yea my 350x is stock and has a k&n installed, changed front sprockets, and rear ones, tops out @78 mph

15 tooth front 36 tooth rear i think thats what it is. with 21" tires. i have a supertrapp pipe for the 200x that i took off my 85.

 

Most of these guys hit the nail on the head,,,but the other way is to get the cam,carb,intake boot off a 2 valve XR200R dirtbike.

 

What year XR200R do you get those off of?

the first thing is get it piped jetted and K&N then the next is to high compression piston, web cam I recomend becuase that is just bad *** performance.
