Well guys Im going to get the Bear Claw Rear tires 22x12x10. Im also going to order a new front gear. Should I get the 14 or 15 tooth. Im a big guy at 295 lbs. Thanks, D

 

I guess it would all depend on what type of riding you do and what your looking for. With 22's and that weight, I still think I'd stick with the 15 tooth, but thats just me. A 14 tooth might be just a bit too much. Just my opinion.

 

Id say start wit a 15 tooth, then you'll know what its like to drop a tooth and will be able to make a decision on if you want more or not.

 

I went straight to a 14T and love it. Im only 185 and its still hard to hit the rev limiter in 5th with my 22 inch tires on. With the 16T and 20s I was always hitting it.

 

I went 15 with my 22's and it works great.

 

I just ordered a 14 and 15 tooth. For 12.99 I figure Ill try the 15 first and the 14 down the line. Thanks guys.

 

I weigh about the same as you. I run 15. it works fine. but, I was thinking the 14 would be even better. I also run 22"

 

What exactly does lowering the front gear do. Top speed or quickness?

 

Quickness, you loose some top end but you get up to speed quicker.

 

well i got a 15 tooth and it worked out good but i would still like a 14 for trail riding......i got 22's also
