What front gear to go with 14 or 15 tooth ???????
i am. (15 tooth and stock ohtsus)
ds spins them VERY easily (in dry grass drags, it spins in 3rd gear, maybe higher not really sure)
i have also tried 14/20 (just for giggles, had switched tires after running my 22 paddles) and that was like...freight train low.... i could do 3rd gear starts (not super easy, but it pulled them fine) and i could top out in 5th WAY too quick (at the time i was racing one ofm y friends warriors, i was probably only a few mph faster than he was)
i like 15/20 15/22 (if im lazy) and 14/22 if i air up the paddles a good bit. (1st gear is useless unless its for ultra low technical stuff)
best thing to do is just buy both, and experiment. (i did a lot of that trying to find the best ratio to pull 3rd up sand mountain..)

I ran a 14T for years, and then after some more motor mods, I ended up at a 15T. Alot of it depends on your motor mods and the type of riding you do, and where you want to improve. The only reason I went to a 14T, is because I knew exactly what I needed to accomplish for the specific hill I was racing up for the power my motor was producing. For me, it was a matter of where my RPMs were pulling the hardest at the end of the dune drag. I realize that you are not dune dragging, but the conecept is the same. With the info provided, why not try a 15T and see how it feels. Sprockets are cheap, and easy to change out. Use any of the gearing calculators to help you.
