Default Triple Buffs....

Guys, finally got to try out my new 22x11x10 (8-paddle) triple buffs this weekend, and I couldnt imagine a tire making that big of a difference. I seen very quick why they cost so much....

Well, I had 450's taking me by 4-6 bike lengths before the haulers. Now we are running right beside one another. If I can get a good launch, I can take them. I wasnt looking for that big of a gain.

Choose- What size tires were you running before? If they were 20s that would explain it. But the tripples do spin better. 20inch from 22 inch paddles on our hill at Dumont made a huge difference. The 20 in paddles seem to have more of a flat paddle surface wich doesnt dig like a ballooned out 22-24in. tire.

I was running 22x11x10 Kenda's. I can easily tell that the haulers spin faster for sure. But, I can tell I definitely need a 4-6" swingarm.

Good report.

Mario. How much of a gain from the 22" haulers would you think I would see with the tripple's?

Dang. . . more money.

Like you need anymore gain! Its pretty bad when you give us a 200ft head start and still beat us to the top of the hill.(LOL) Its a wonder that rocket hasn't pulled your arms out of their sockets yet.

Duneme- Youll see a difference of a few lengths, Get the 75 roll out for 8 in. rim (blue label). I think they end up being 23-24 inches tall. There is more space between each paddle and IMO get a bigger scoop of dirt. My 12 paddles (73 roll out) perform ALMOST just as well on the top end, but the front tends to come up more out of the hole. W/ the 8 paddles I get better wheel spin out of the hole.

This weekend I am going to try 17-37 gearing with the 8 paddles and second gear launch all motor in wet sand
And to avoid high reving nos runs im only going to spray in 3rd to get the rpm up faster and the motor holds rpm after that on its own. Since its a smaller weekend, I will drop the nos jets from 25 shot to 17 hp and try to get 57-58 mph on all motor. I just want to get from point A to point B faster. (oh, and I also need to go a little easier on my bike) Shes been spitting a little coolant here and there when I abuse it. Mark, When are you and Jeffypoo going to make it down this way?
