Default 04' SP 600 twin

Curious what everyone thinks of there new sp600's that have bought the 04 model as far as starting and idoling before going for a ride. Mine seems to be quite fussy I have to choke it almost all the time if it's not warmed up and then let warm up for 2-4 minutes before taking off and still the first couples throttle hits it still cuts out a little, till gets going and gets some fuel through it, after that and it's warmed up seems great. My old sp 500 never acted this way! Is this because it is a twin or newer, or a 600 or just that I got a fussy machine?
Looking some feedback and comments!

Our 700 was like that too.......there is an update for the carberator out(from Polaris) that rejetts it or something. We didn't ever get it, and just kept the choke on(not a good idea)......but I know what you are talking about. Definately not your problem........This is another reason we are getting a new 800efi.....no more jetting.

Nope it's not an EFI. It is also the 2004 1/2 so I think it already has that carb. update!
