04' SP 600 twin

Default 04' SP 600 twin

I have an 04.5 as well and I have to run it at about half choke for a minute or two before I ride. I'm usually getting my gear on during this time anyway so it's no big deal. I have also heard that the carbed twins tend to be a little cold blooded as well.

I'm telling you, its the carb..........can't be anything else, if you think about it.......ours does it too(04 700).........

I just got my 04 Sportsman 600 back from the dealer today. I took it in to have a winch, hotgrips, and thumb warmer installed but they also did a factory update while it was in the shop. They told me it was a breather tube update. Apparently, the original ones were collecting moisture and freezing up. Don't know if this has anything to do with the problems you are having.

open up your fuel air mixture screw a quarter turn i bet it will help....
