04' SP 600 twin
#11
I have an 04.5 as well and I have to run it at about half choke for a minute or two before I ride. I'm usually getting my gear on during this time anyway so it's no big deal. I have also heard that the carbed twins tend to be a little cold blooded as well.

sp600blue,
I just got my 04 Sportsman 600 back from the dealer today. I took it in to have a winch, hotgrips, and thumb warmer installed but they also did a factory update while it was in the shop. They told me it was a breather tube update. Apparently, the original ones were collecting moisture and freezing up. Don't know if this has anything to do with the problems you are having.
