250R .V.S. 400ex
250r vs 400ex just curious which would win in a race because i know the 250r is quick but 400ex has more power so which would win??
Wouldn't be too sure about the EX having more power than a 250R. It's always harder to achieve the same Max HP from a 4-stroke as a 2-stroke, even when the 2-Stroke is only a 250cc. I haven't encountered very many EX's that were that fast compared to my R, even when it was bone stock........

I have heard the same thing. The R was slightly faster than the 400EX stock. I have heard this from people who own both, so their responses are pretty credible. I think some tend to say the 250r is faster than what it really is, like when they make the claim that a R would outun a banshee. I have nothing against the 250r, as it is one of the greatest atv's ever made.

When it comes to modding the R will not win agianst a banshee in a drag.. Thats all those banshee's where good for.. The R wont be best but it can still do alright with the right mods and it still owns a lot of local mx tracks and I think thats what the R was made for thats why I bought it at least I like them both but there in diffrent catagory's

Yeah, stock 250R's aren't fast. All their stock parts are absolute crap IMO. The 34MM PJ sucks, the reeds suck and I'm sure a pop can
could perform better on a 250R than it's stock exhaust. Same thing for the Banshee. That's why a "good" fully modified 250R is so
insanely fast. Technology makes those old stock parts primative.
