Default Gas mileage 800 EFI and 700 EFI

Am waiting for 2005 800 and 700 to arrive at my local dealer and was wondering, due to the relatively small gas tanks, how many more miles can you do with the 700?
Would like to go with the 800, but if gas mileage is a real issue I will probably go with the 700. I don't like the idea of carrying extra gas to go the same distance as my buddies on any given trip.

Thanks,

its suprising how well the 700EFI does on gas... i would say its about the same at the 400 sportsman i would estimate that the 800 EFI would be between the 400 and 500 for gas milage so i would estimate around 75 80 MPT

I went 63 miles on my '05 700 EFI and put less than 2.5 gallons back in to fill it up. I was riding from 6000-8250 feet, just cruising on the roads. I estimate I can get between 80-110 miles per tank in such conditions...possibly more
