Default 650 keeps dying

The bike will start and you can ride it for about 10 to15 minutes then it will die. After about a minute it will fire right back up and run great. Cleaned the carb and the tank nothing seem to be in there. Any suggestions?

Maybe the float is sticking closed or the needle is obstructed and not flowing very much ( float bowl fills slowly then it runs until the bowl is empty ). Check the bowl drain right after it dies, see if it's empty. If not that then maybe your CDI, might try swapping back to the stock one..

I had the same thing happen to me and it was the vent line from the tank. If it quits again lossen the gas cap and if it starts that is the problem.

I ran the DS without the gas cap on and it runs great now. i guess its just a matter of checking out the vent line from the tank. thanks for the help guys.

I had the same problem. the vent line design sucks. now i am in the process of machining a aluminum cap with a breather. doing it myself as oppose to paying fifty bucks.
