Default Changing jets in the 39mm carb.

For the guys with the 39, how do you change jets? I mean, what all do you take off the bike to do this. With the regualr carb, if you moved the airbox, you could take the carb off easy, but with the 39, its so hard to get it on the intake boot that I dont want to take it off. I have the right main jets to get it tuned, but twhat about the others, and the air screw and stuff. I haven't tuned a carb before.

what kind quad? scrambler? just take off all the plastic you can then turn the carb while in the boot to get to the bowl to change the jets...ride it with the plastic off make adjustments untill right then put plastic back on...that's the easiest way good luck

But in order to spin it enough to get the bowl off i have to take off the inner clutch cover, which means the clutches. It won't spin the other way b/c of the tranny.

I didn't think it was that bad. I was running a 280 main. I don't know what mods you have. The only thing I done was take the air box off, then jerk the carb off.
