Hi,
awhile back i baught a honda 400ex, but the exhaust's baffle was cut out . It still has the chrome covering on the back of the muffler. Is it bad on the engine? If so how bad. I am not shure if the not having any back pressure is good on it? and how it sucks cold air easily back into the engine. thanks!

 

With your engine your fine, maybe not with your neighbors or the law if you ride on government property. Make sure you do a plug check to be sure your not too lean.

 

I ran with no spark arrester for 6 months on mine and the only problem i had was my neighbors [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img] my friend did that too and we never had problems with our rides. theres a lot of restriction left, take a flashlight and check into your muffler youll see [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img] dont try to put another spark arrester in it cuz youll lose this nice sound and a little bit of power [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]

Hey thanks for the response. . I liked the sound of it like that... haha, i just didn't want it to blow up because of my "cool" sound. haha
