2Kodiak+Bear Claws+Rock Crawling=PSI?

Going to Tellico and have heard of the Rocks.
I am running OE sized Bear Claws on a Y2K 4X4 Kodiak. I would like to hear of experiances with tire pressures for these tires on Rocks as well as other terrain & riding styles.

Same here, 3.5, and I have almost the exact same machine as you already know, the rock. Except I went 26". I ride in a pretty wide variety and 3.5 seems to be the key number. BUT if i were gonna be doing serious rock climbing I'm thinking 3.1 or 3.2 might do nice. As you know the less pressure the more contact area and less likely to puncture. But too low and things get sloppy and bad milage and you'll wear your tires out getting where your going. And one other thing.. if you have too little pressure your treads will fold over easyer and might slip when you need them. But that's just my opinion.

26" Bear claws, 26-12X12 & 26-9X12

Back From Tellico,
You must go there if you can. I experimented with the tires psi and found that 3.2 & 3.4 on the fronts help with the jolts from harsh rock like bumps but make steering a little stiffer than norm.I shot for 3.8 and it's a happy medium.
The rears are another story. At just under 3.5 they hook up on slick rocks very well. The rear ride gets noticably more plush.
The Bear Claw tires are 4 ply rated and you can tell. I purchased them for the 4 ply reliability and medium compound. The tires are holding up well.
Tellico is an AWSOM ATV/Dirt bike/Cab Truck, playground. Some trails are ATV only. All the trails are marked by number and difficulty. There is a place called the Rock garden that changes constantly because the big trucks move the bolders around going up. These trucks have tractor tires on them. Many miles of trails. Read the Winch Test on this sites Product tests.
