Anyone from southern WV?

We might be moving to the Beckley area soon. Will know for sure tomorrow. The wife might be getting a better job in Beckley, so there is a good possibility that we will be reloacating from the eastern panhandle of WV. That means I'll be 30 or so minutes from Pinnacle Creek Trail of the Hatfield/McCoy Trail system.
Anyone here from the Raleigh County area?

beckley sounds familiar. my father in law has a house in hinton, WV. I think thats only like a 20-25mile drive from beckley. he bought the house cause it's the house he grew up in as a kid. it has been passed on down his family, we travel down there a few times a year. we are planning on going down there during easter and back down in july for a week or two. I would like to go down during christmas but doubt that will happen due to all the family getting together.

We were down last weekend for her interview. It went well, and we'll find out today if it's official. It's seems really nice down there though. The whole environment seems like it's in much less of a hurry like it is here. We have fast growth, D.C. and northern VA people moving in like crazy, everyone is in a hurry, roads and stores are crowded.......I'm tired of the fast paced life.

ya it's nice and relaxing to go down there, it's a bit slower pace which a change from living in the flint area here in michigan. I keep telling my wife that if something were to ever happen with my job I would move to wv in a heartbeat. my father in law really wants to sell his main house and move permanently to wv. he is already selling his house up north which is on the rifle river but my mother in law says she won't move permanantly unless the three girls go too. meaning my wife and her two sisters.
