Default 400 ex paddles - sprocket size

Hi
A friend of mine has a 400 ex piped jet and race air box he fitted 21" geckos and finds the gearing is to tall (think its stock at the moment)
can any of you guys help out and recommend sprocket sizes to allow the bike to rev out in top gear

I was thinking of trying one less tooth on the front but any advice would be apreciated
thanks

steve

Just do like you say, and try going down 1-2 teeth on the front sprocket.

NO!! The back is 38, and the front is 15. I would go with 14/38 or 13/38. Though you will lose some top end.

I dropped my front down to a 14 when I put 22 inch knarly`s on the back....it appears to be a good combo on my 400
