I'm sure it would be worth the wait, but I was without a quad for 4 or 5 months, they was always changing the shipping dates, the last date I heard was after the 1st of the year, and that was on a friday and saturday I was bringing home the Std. You will not go wrong with either one of them.

I got mine. I'd wait for it just for the shocks unless i was going to do a major upgrade on them anyway. The back tires are another high point, and the thing revs higher too. The tranny is DIFFERENT, its a different i like, but it won't be for everyone. Hang in there, i was 3 mos waiting on my '03.

I picked up mine yesterday at a dealer in Indianapolis. So they are finally hitting the market. I have not had a chance to ride it much though, but just going up and down the street the TLD does seem to have a better feel with the close ratio tranny IMO. Acceleration seems alot stronger then my 03. Once it is broken in and I am able to get my pipe and airbox mod on it then I will be able to give a better comparison.

I know the local dealer here in Northern Wisconsin (North Country Sport Marine) has two in stock. I rode one yesterday, right after riding a 2004 Dale E that they have and there is a big diference. The shocks are much plusher on the TLD, and the new gear ratio feels faster. I've put quit a few hours on a 03 pred, and this TLD is a big step up from there. I don't think I would get rid of a 03 or 04 to buy the TLD, but for the $300 difference, I would definitely find a TLD if you are buying a new one. .
.....now we just need a 340 lbs 450 Pred!!! Maybe 2006
