DW mag is at it again!!Big Bore shootout with no SP800EFI
#1
In there January issue, they did a shootout of the big guns, yet they leave out the 800 and use the sp700 instead. There shooutout was the BF, KQ, and the sp700EFI. They said the 800 wasn't that much better then the 700. Then why not use it. I think they were nerveous that they might have to give a Polaris a win. The KQ came in 1st then the sp700 then the BF.

Same old Same old They will wait until late spring to test all the big bores. This will give Suzuki a chance to sell all the KQ's that they can before then. That way they will get the most out of thier advertisement dollar.

Yea I just got done reading that BS write up. The 700EFI does 60MPH in that test, yet it did 65MPH when they reviewed it. That is the MOST BS rag I have ever seen!

I had my '05 700 EFI at 68 mph on my GPS...it was a very slight downhill....but only 60 on this particular machine...
The extra 77cc's total to alot, considering the timing curves, stroke and EFI module....I can't wheelie my 700 EFI except in low gear and stock tires, but in last months test of the 800, they said even in high you have to watch your throttle or you'll be on your back...
it pisses me off that they left out the 800....
one thing that I knew would be the conclusion, is that they picked the 700 EFI over the Brute Force....my friend has one, its not very fun to ride except for pulling up the front end. he is thinking of selling it or trading in on either a 700 or 800 EFI....when we go ride he keeps saying....'hey, lets switch machines for awhile'.....lol....cracks me up....for our purposes, the strength, plushness and ridability of the Polaris is a pleasure compared to the BF....it is fun pulling the front end up on the BF though...
I think when they finally do a shootout with the 800, it'll smoke all the machines and next year when polaris comes out with the 1000....lol....
i think these magazines work off of who is placing the largest ads in their magazines and who is taking care of them....thats who gets the tests...

With 25% more power over the 700EFI the 800 would have had to won the shoot out. They said they couldn't get a 800 for the test, yet they had one in the last issue that they reviewed! They said the power is much better on the 800, than the 700 when they reviewed it, then when they lined all of them up for a test then the 700 and 800 were not that different. DW will say one thing, and then say something totally different about the same thing. I am about to cancle this mag!
