how do they compare in the power catagory? Top end? Acceleration?

Well.. I would have to disagree. I have a YZ 250WR 30 over and so on, and I have raced both banshees and blasters. Ive eaten the blasters for breakfast and have beaten most of the banshees, pending on mods and conditions. Those banshees are pretty damn quick, there is no doubt about it... but my bike is half the weight and more then half the HP. Ive seen CR and KX 125s try and race banshees but there is no comparison. From what I've seen, the blaster and the YZ/KX/CR/RM 125's are more of a comparison. The only things that I have seen give a banshee an butt kickin is the 500 cc bikes but what the hell.. there 500's.

Keep in mind, this is only what I have observerd *S*

Well I've never raced a YZ125, but I have raced a CR250. Out of the hole the CR easily pulled away, but on the top end I was able to pass him. So if a CR250 is faster than a YZ125, than a Banshee would be able to beat a YZ125. By the way the only mods I have are, Pipes.

 

The guy on the cr must have been real real real slow!!! A late model 125 should take most banshee's as long as the mods are not too extensive. A late model 250 will either win or throw the rider on his back as he try's to get the holeshot on the banshee and realizes that he can't keep the bike from wheelying on pavement or spinning in dirt!!!!
