I'm back again with another question. I think we've narrowed it down to a Polaris Sportsman 90 or an Eton Viper 90r. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. It seems like I've seen more bad reviews on the Polaris. My husband thinks that's possible because there are so many more Polaris quads out there. By the way, this is not to race, just to ride around the farm and easy trails. HELP!

Have you checked into the ETON? I have read some good reviews on them. On the other hand, I've read some bad reviews on the Polaris. It's hard not to go with name recognition.

I bought my son a 90 scrambler in 03. Before we got into racing and modified it he loved going through water, mud and alot of hill climbs. The salesman even tried to talk me out of buying it, he said it wont go through creeks and climb hills. He loves that quad. Before we modified it I never had to do anything to it.

I have been reading forums, looking through three years of Dirt Wheels reviews, trying to pick my kid out a four wheeler. I kind of want a four stroke, auto, with a shaft drive. He is 6 years old and riding a Honda 125M three wheeler, I just want something more stable and four wheels. I think I cam going to skip the 50 series and go to a 70/90 cc class machine. We won't race either, something for around the farm, and light trail riding. I really like the racks on the Sportsman, and the new 2005 has a reverse. Most my dealers are already out of stock for the christmas rush, but they have '04 models for $100 less, I will spend $100 more for a reverse gear. I don't like the 2 stroke and chain drive on the Polaris, but could learn to live with it if I had to.

I have looked at Honda 90, Suzuki's LT80, Yamaha 80, Kawaski, E-Ton, Yamoto 70cc, RedCat, Koplin 90, Kazuma, Arctic Cat 90Kasea 90, and the Polaris 90s. I just don't know what to do, I have budgeted around $1400 - $2200.

I kind of like the Arctic Cat 90 4 stroke, but am still a confused buyer....

one thing to remember that even the big named youth quads are made in tawain so they are all pretty much the same. My choice would be the eton viper 90r just becouse they have been around for a long time + i've heard in 03 they got top honors for the #1 selling youth quad in america

How does one find a local dealer for E-Ton, or does anyone know of an online place to get one?

I think I have narrowed it down to these four, none are 4 stroke, nor shaft. : (

Kasea Outback 90
2005 Polaris Sportsman 90, has reverse
E-ton Viper 90 R, has reverse
Xtreme 100 Pro w/reverse

Thanks,

Go to etonamerica.com
This is the company's home page. Click on "dealers" tab and it will give you all 50 states to choose from. I clicked on Texas and got a lot of dealers. I just had a guy agree to $1850 for the ETON Viper 90R. How about that for a great deal! At first I had a few dealers say they wouldn't go any lower that $2100. I got a small town dealer to agree to $1899. I made one more call to another smaller town, told him another dealer had agreed to $1899 and could he beat that, he said $1850. I am very happy with that. I live in Houston and have found the dealers in Houston to stick to their prices. The guys in the smaller towns seem to want to work with you. I have done a ton of research and have had a hard time finding many bad reviews on the Eton. I feel very good about our decision. We're going to pick it up on Saturday.

It looks like you have ten dealers in Missouri to work with. I bet you can get a good deal from one of them! good luck

Sounds like you came to a decision..... I am going to start calling, its probably going to be which ever one I can get the best price on. I am going to call the E-Ton dealers, the Kasea dealers, and the Xtreme dealers, I think there are only two for each of the others, so it should not take to much time. I might start calling Friday and Saturday. So you just started dealing right on the phone? I thought I might see what they have, and then drive there with cash, I like your approach a little better, it might save me a drive if they will not even budge on the price.

Good luck and let me know what you think of it once you see and touch it....
