Default what was Dirt Wheels thinking???

I got the new dirt wheels in the mail today and it has a big bore shootout but no Polaris 800 but the 700 efi instead. I want to see the polaris up against the brute force and king quad.

They couldn't let their advertisers down by letting the Polaris win! SO they had to use the 700

I think this is what happened that's why they went with the 700 EFI. I haven't seen the mag. yet so who did they say won?

I rarely agree with you polaris guys but I got to admit that I was suprised to. If they didn't have a 800 then they should have left out the 700, What are they thinking?

I think I read in one of the rags that he 800 that was being passed around was a preproduction quad. and DW said in the article that there were no 800's available for testing at the time of the article and they felt the 700 had performed very similar in previouse test to the 800 so thats why they used it.

Sometimes I too would like to blame the mighty dollar for results that I didn't agree with, but if you have been watching close they all spend a tone of money with DW including KAWI who finished last, It seems that I see more yamaha ads than any other and they have not won a big bore shootout in years.

I am eagerly awaiting the big bore shootout this year since the suki KQ won, out of these three and its a known fact the P700 will out run and out handle the KQ. DW and others have been giving very high marks for things like best handeling and fastest. The Jan 2004 issue the P700 beat out all the others for a 3rd year in a row. I have road just about all the contenders except the Polaris 800 and have discovered IMO that the P700/twinpeaks is still the king. I would go as far to say I would not trade any of my big bore quads even up for any of the new ones except maybe a BF650 for my 2002 p650 but thats it trading even, wont happen and right now I have come to the conclusion that I just have to wait for the 2006's to see whats new then.

I feel it is kind of stupid to do a big bore shootout and not use the top competitor from each manufacturer. If you can't get ahold of the 800, WAIT UNTIL YOU DO!!! Now there won't be a shootout between the big bores for at least another year and we won't be able to see how the top dogs all match up. Also, in the reviews of the 800, they praised how much better it was than the 700, well not quite praised, but they said it was better, but then in this article it said the 800 and 700 didnt have hardly any difference and the extra 77 cc's was just added weight. They need to stick with one opion.
