110 carb troubles
#1
I am still working on my little 80 model 110 (getting it ready to sell) and its giving me a problem. It runs great and will idle great as long as it is on choke. If you take it off choke, it will die everytime and it will not crank up again untill you turn the choke back on. Both the motor and carb have been freshly rebuilt (no more than 10 minutes run time because of the carb issues) and the carb has new jets, seals, and gaskets. I am really lost at this point as to why it is doing this, maybe an airleak somewhere in the intake??

Those are the classic symptoms of a plugged idle circuit. Pilot jet, or the air bleed is plugged. The air bleed is the very tiny hole in the air filter side of the intake, and runs parallel to the air flow.
Could the idle speed be too low?
How many turns out is the mixture screw? Does that screw feel sloppy in the threads?
Could also be a low float level.
