#1
i am tuning my carb on my trx 200 i have a repair and clymers manual for it and it says no where how to adjust the throttle stop screw.how many screws out should it be and what does it do???????

Most throttle stop screws are up on the handlebar, behind the thumb throttle. It limits how far the throttle can be opened. Its for when little kids ride it, mom and dad can limit how far the thottle will open.
Is this the screw you were wondering about?

Is it a screw on the side of the slide, thats perpendicular to it? Thats the idle speed screw, and it screws into the slide housing and lifts the slide up , by ramping up the chamfer on the slide. If thats it, then adjust it til its idling about 1400 rpm.
Is it #8 in this picture?

i think these manuals/technicians call them "throttle stop screws" because they limit how far down the throttle body sits. To you and me, it's the idle adjustment screw. mine has worn quite the pock mark into the throttle body, for an '02. anyways, what hondabuster's last post said about the adjustment is correct.
