im thinking its either the warrior, or the pred wut do u ppl thnk?

 

id get the raptor, more power than a warrior and narower than a pred. real nice for the trails

 

Small time I would say the 300ex, midrange the 05 400ex, big bore the raptor.

The warrior is nice, but doesnt handle like the 300 let alone the 400ex. Its too expensive to be put in the lower category and doesnt have the power to be in the 400cc class.

The 400ex has lots of nice, useable low end that is great for putting around in the trails and still has plenty of power for wide open trails. The z is great but I like the low end.

The pred is also a good machine, but I dont find it as comfortable nor do I like the lack of low end compared to the raptor. The raptor also is easy to fit into tight trails where you are typically restricted to a 300/350 sized machine. I would put the kfx700 in the mix too because its the ultimate cruiser.

But these are just my opinions and preferences, I'm sure many will disagree.

 

I don't have one, but I think the Z type 400 is the best all around trail quad. It does need a little more torque, though.

i like that rap for a trail quad it had alot of tq in 1st and 2ed and thats mostly what gears u are in on the trails...ppl say u need to add a better exhast and it will be better on the trails but the reson the exhast is restricted is becouse it gives it the Tq.... the more back pressure on the exhast the better low end and more air flow gives it better top end. the rap is puttin out 52 ft tq and z400 is puttin out in the 30s and same with the ex ...in dirt wheels they said the troy lee pred is better then that rap on trails but who cares what they think

 

the mojave plenty of torque and power and some to spare

 

I own both as you can see.

I've had limited time on my Pred. but love the suspension.

You cant beat the Warrior in tight woods...narrow enough to zip right throung and the 6 speed gearbox insures your always a shift away from the right gear

 

throw a pipe on the z and its cant be beat in the trails. my opinion.
