yfz450 vs 450r vs 250r
#3
For racing it's the YFZ in stock trim.If you put money in the 250r though, it could just be a matter of which you like better.....a 2stroke or a 4stroke.I don't have the luxury of dunes where I'm at but the magazines really like the YFZ on the dunes................

Now if you buy a stock 250r and you put money on it till you reach the 450s prices ??
question...
I heard the yfz has pretty good front shocks... Are they comparable to aftermarket shocks like elka or at least works ?

450r has the best front end out there (stock of course) and the best shocks!!
450r and the 250r would be best for gncc and the yfx for mx however tim farr and doug gust are not riding yamaha or john natalie for that matter
and the 450r waon the baja 1000 not the yfz

That's almost funny. The YFZ has front shocks that are twice the quality of those offered on the R. Do a little more reading, riding, and research next time. I have yet to see an article yet, and I say yet, that says differently.
The price on the YFZ reflects the amount of money spent on the suspension and motor. That's why it's so much more than the R.
