I perfer the abrupt power of the YFZ for the dunes. Reminds me of the King of Dunes.

 

I believe the shocks on the 450R are better.
I have ridden the 450R at the dunes, and the suspension was sweet! The YFZ felt a lot stiffer, especially when going over the rough sand![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

 

Suspension can be adjusted you know!

On the other hand I have ridden a R and at high speeds it feels real ugly, (IMO), and the YFZ stock shines in the track.

 

i have seen articles that say the 450rs are better, so i guess i read more then u. otherwise im not really getting into this since i got both

 

between the yfz and the 450r shock,that all depends.if your ride hard then the yfz is WAY better than the 450r,if you just putt around then the 450r's are better IMO..

so if it was dunes 250r, then yfx450, then 450r i own a yfx but i smoke all the 450r but my buddys 250r kicks the shi* out of me
