2002 Foreman 450 Smoking Bad
#1
After flooding my foreman in a deep hole we stood it up to drain the water out and got it fired back up. After that it was smoking fairly bad so I took it home and changed oil, filter, plug after flushing the oil system. I'm still getting heavy smoke and after looking closer oil is leaking out the exhaust so im gonna have to have it rebuilt. I would like to hear some suggestions as to where to buy the rebuild kit for and any other suggestions while I have this apart. Also, anyone that has went through this tell me about how much I should pay for this to be done.
Thanks

Before you tear it down...... Have you done a compression check? And since you tipped it up to drain the water, make sure you didn't just get some oil in the cylinder. Try running it for a bit to see if the smoke clears.

HAVE YOU LOOKED AT THE AIR CLEANER? IT MIGHT BE FULL OF WATER, ALSO IT KIND OF SOUNDS LIKE THE BREATHER TUBE LOCATED UNDER AND BEHIND THE CARB IN THE CRANKCASE MIGHT JUST BE CLOGGED,SO THE BOTTOM END IS BUILDING UP PRESSURE AND PUSHING IT INTO THE CYLINDER.

I've drained and cleaned the airbox, changed oil filter and oil, ran some oil through the motor then drained it again. I'll have to check the crankcase vent tube tomorrow, but i'm sure that the rings are ruined now. Oil is slowly dripping out of the exhaust pipe, I'm gonna call the dealer tomorrow even though i'm scared of how much $$$ this is costing right here at Christmas. Any other idea's? Thanks for your help.
