Default Wiring up a winch and grips on a Foreman inquiry

I just ordered a Ramsey 2500 Wireless winch and some Moose heated grips for my '04 Foreman. I want to set it up so that they only work on keyed power. I know that some people use the accessory outlet wiring. Would both be too much for this circuit? I do NOT want to use any circuit that if the wiring for the winch or grips went awry, would leave me stranded. Any help on this, along with any other tips during installation would be much appreciated.

Default Wiring up a winch and grips on a Foreman inquiry

I am not to sure how my winch is wired as it was on my Foreman when I got it. I just installed hand warmers on it last week and I used a clip on splicer to hook into the red wire coming off the ignition key switch. It was simple to do and has given me no problems so far.
Good luck

I doubt you would have a problem. I ran the same setup on a Kodiak. The heat grips only pull 3 amps. Other than the relay, the winch is going to be wired to the battery.
