Default raptor vs pred

Anyone looked at the new dirt wheels mag raptor vs pred anyways the pred won pretty much in everything the rap tops out at 74.43 or something like that and the pred at 73.something how is it that a motor thats 160 cc bigger loses. and i dis like dirt wheels but i believe that the pred won and as i said before i was'nt that impressed with the 660 when i rode it everyone talks about all this power it has but in stock form theres not that much there as far as take off i think with a 12 tooth front sproket mine would be as fast up to third gear or real close if i just stayed within two quad lengths i would be more than happy i mean were talking about a motor that is twice as big .but anywho i was wondering what everyones input was on this new dirt wheels verus.

yea, id like to see that one bud. and 2nd of all, its DIRTWHEELS, who really believes the BS they pump out of there??? they do have tons of power in stock form, how do you think STOCK rappys make it up choke cherry?? they're torque monsters. About the engine size, that doesnt matter at all, take for instance my 500cc 2-STROKE, burly beats my buds rappy. and the z400 vs 400ex, the Z wins, there same size, but other things are factors rather than just engine size.

I think the shootout was close actually, I have been on both and they are very close speedwise, but the raptor has more low end. Both great if you ask me, I like that polaris is on top of fixing all the problems every year and improving the Pred. And there is no way just a sprocket will help a warrior keep up with either!!

yeah i like to see a 350 raptor hang with a 660 in the first three gears a roptor660 does 47 mph in 2nd gear alone thats 0nly about 15 mph slower the a 350 top speed

maybe i read a different issue...it seemed to me that the rappy was wining....they always complained how bad 5th gear sucked on the pred and said theyr werent many differences between them

also, the stock exhaust on all yamaha's is awfull. thats why the YFZ really wakes up with an exhaust, compared to the TRX. With a decent exaust system on a raptor, it picks up about 10 full HP. some even offer as much as 13!

Magizines are cool and all but the only true way to find out is to DO IT!! I have a rappy and my riding buddy has a pred. Stock on stock I whooped him by about 2 bike lengths in a 700ft drag strip. After the same upgrades "same hmf pipe and K&N filter" I beat him on the same strip by about 3 bike lengths. Just some food for thought??

first of all....displacement means nothing in STOCK form! and in some cases tuned or even fully blown! modify both machines with the same mods and the raptor will come out on top in terms of horsepower gains and acceleration.....i have yet to see or hear of a fast predator that can keep up with the 727s or 686s

yea i think the rap should have won the shootout...they said in a drag the pred would get the start then the rap would pass in like 2ed 3ed gear and when the pred hit 5th gear it falls on its face cuz the gear is so wide its like a 22mhp diff from 4th.. and the pred has fox racing shocks so thats a plus for them..but they also said if they had $500 to upgrate both the rap would have won cuz they didnt like the stock exhast

I know that the 660 will out run 350 I WAS JUST TRYING TO STRESS that the 660 seems why held back when i got on it i was expecting alot more than there was you know but they did say that the exaust on the 660 was restrictive but is it really that bad does a slip on make that big of a difference in the 660 .And dont take me wrong in no ways anyone im die hard yamaha fan i will never change brands even though the polaris does look better lol i mean it just looks very race ready .and one quick question why does yamaha restrict the 660 so much why not get it in top shape off line .And is it just me or does yamaha allways lose in dirtwheels.
