I don't know I have yet been able to race a modded Raptor. I would say the Raptor would win....but thats what I thought stock for stock also....so who knows. I've only raced two Predator's, one when I was just piped, and another after the build. Neither Predator could take my Raptor, but they are still nice machines. I have never got to see one line up stock vs. stock. But I did get to race with my pipe vs. a pred that had a few minor upgrades. Like drilled air box, jet up, and one tooth lower front sprocket.

When I got my motor back the Predator had gotten a full system pipe, but that didn't help at all against my bored motor.


Maybe some of you guy's can run some good times at Hatfield Mccoy when we meet.

 

Dirtwheels is like a newspaper, they lie, and they provide some crazy info. But, it's still fun to read. And displacement doesn't matter, compare the banshee to other quads, or even the new 450's. Yamaha restricts the motor on the 660, because they probaly don't want to get in trouble, no quad could go beyond 75, stock, thats why the zilla is not around any more.

idk.....pred is nice and quick on the start but i like my rapto...my friend has a 05 raptor and a 04 pred and his raptor wins everytime...both stock....i think the 05 pred would win the start then the rap would pass it in like 3ed ...i still think the rap is a better quad ...who cares about dirt wheels they never pick yamaha

 

you really cant compare the suspension on these two machines...worlds apart...I am absloutley thrilled with my new purchase.. and with the DOHC it pulls hard through every gear..and IT does not fall on its face from 4 to 5th...dont believe the hype!

 

do u think it pulls as hard in 5th as 4th...how long does it take to top out once u hit 5th

 

No..4th pulls much better than 5th

5th is doggish compared to a modded Raptor. however the trails I ride are gears 1-4 on any machine.

Again the suspension soaks up anything after 3 hours of hard riding I am happy to report I have never felt better after a ride than what I do today.

unreal how plush this thing is..if you ever get a chance to ride on one for any amount of time..take it!

 

I hope you mean in the 4 second range...not 4 flat. If so I'd have to see it before I believe it. There are many drag Shees that can't pull 4 seconds flat...

But again, I would love to be proved wrong!...any four stroke that can pull a flat 4 seconds has my respect...
