Yamaha caters to a niche market with the wolverine and I dont believe that, in a business or customer satisfaction sense, that they would remove the model without replacing it with an upgraded machine unless sales dropped steeply.

So far the wolverine is the only thing that could be considered a sport 4X4 but thats only due to its light wieght. All yamaha would have to do is drop in a lighter 40 to 50 hp engine (better power to wieght ratio)and manual clutch . Get rid of the rack mounting system and use more aluminum to get the weight down to around 400pounds. Make it a few inches wider so it would corner and Ill be first in line to buy it. As it is now it could be out performed by many regular overwieght tank type utes. Cmon Yamaha you can do it ,build us a winner.

I thought it was a semi-automatic. Isn't it a 5-speed without a clutch lever. I thought you had to manually shift it.

i disagree with you trailblazer. Part of what i love about the wolverine is its small and light in the 4x4 sense. now a 450 sounds nice but 660 is too big in my opinion. Liquid cooled would be nice too
