Drain and clean air snorkle drain lines, clean & properly oil or change your air filter, inspect your spark plug opening in your head for standing water around your plugs(blow out with air gun), Inspect your Plugwires for proper connection/waterlogged, and inspect your oil for milky color. Also pop off your seat and run a fan/compressed air to dry your fuses/ electrical areas under your seat. Some like to remove fuses, slightly twist fuse ends for better contact an coat fuse ends with dialietic grease.

Just draining your bowls will not get grit out of your jets or corners of your carb bowls, gotta remove Bowls, Pilot and Main jets to inspect & clean. Save yourself some headache and get you some replacement allen head screws/wrench (.04 x 14 mm) from your local hardware store before you start your project. If you had your carbs off the manifolds insure manifold bolts are tight and you get your carbs back on without an airleak.
